After a one-year hiatus, owners of Jardin du Soleil Lavender Farm, 3932 Sequim-Dungeness Way, are bringing back their Jungible Festival as a five-night concert series through July and early August.
Jordan and Paul Schiefen rebranded the festival as the Jungible Summer Sessions, which take place on Friday nights in the farm’s lavender fields.
Concerts begin on July 8 with a part of each night’s proceeds benefiting a local nonprofit.
• July 8, World’s Finest plays, as a benefit for the Port Angeles Food Bank
• July 15, The Malcolm Clark Band, Five Acre School and Olympic Nature Experience
• July 22, Rabbit Wilde, the North Olympic Land Trust
• July 29, Bootleg Sunshine, Dungeness River Audubon Center
• Aug. 5, Blue Rooster (Backwoods Hucksters), Tour de Lavender
‘Community-powered’ event
Jordan Schiefen said they look at Jungible as a community-powered event.
“From the poster design, locally grown food, community-minded business sponsors and to every volunteer, we’ve made a conscious choice to work with organizations and individuals that work hard to make our community the place we want to be.”
Paul Schiefen said Jungible means to come together and “music is a great way to bring people together and I have chosen bands that can do just that.”
“This year’s lineup has the power to move people to dance, hang out and just be together in this amazing place,” he said.
Food and beverages will available for purchase each night by Pacific Pantry, Viking Feast Ice Cream and Goodness Teas.
Concert doors open at 6:30 p.m. with shows running from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $15 per adult and children 12 and under are free. A season pass for all five shows is $60.
