Krzyworz receives scholarship to PLU

Skylar Krzyworz, a student at Sequim High School, has been named a President’s Scholar by Pacific Lutheran University, earning a scholarship of $34,000 per year.

Krzyworz is one of 133 President’s Scholars that were selected from a pool of more than 400 applicants. All applicants met a rigorous standard of academic excellence, but students who were awarded the scholarship displayed exemplary qualities in leadership, service and academics while also displaying the potential to enrich the campus community in the classroom and beyond, an announcement from the University stated. This year’s President’s Scholars have a cumulative average weighted GPA of 4.05.

Scholarship recipients were invited to come to campus to interview for the next tiers of PLU scholarships – the $40,000 per year Harstad Scholarship and full-tuition Regents’ Scholarship.

PLU is a small private university in Tacoma’s Parkland neighborhood.
