“Ginny,” aka Virginia D. Stephenson, brings her tribute to Sequim’s Lavender Weekend with a CD release and performance of “ … and the Lavender Sings” at 11:15 a.m. Friday, July 15, following the festival’s opening ceremonies.

The CD will be available at Hardy’s Market (10200 Old Olympic Highway, Sequim) and George Washington Inn (939 Finn Hall Road, Port Angeles).

Stephenson wrote the piece and performed it at last year’s event and has since rechristened it.

She’s a former member of the Sweet Adelines, holds a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance, has taught at various levels and composes other works.
