Veteran Master Gardener Bruce Pape will share tips for growing dwarf fruit trees at noon Thursday, Sept. 28, in the Emergency Management Center in the basement of the Clallam County Courthouse, 22 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Pape will discuss how to manage the size, diversity and staggered harvest time of fruit trees in a residential setting. He will also provide instruction for orchard care.
Pape has been growing fruit trees for more than 30 years. He has three decades of experience teaching at Central Michigan University and co-owned a landscape design business.
A Master Gardener since 2012, he has been the orchard manager at the Woodcock Demonstration Garden for 5 years. Pape was named as Clallam County Master Gardener of the Year in 2014.
