Local libraries set book discussions for August

The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) hosts three Book Discussion Group meetings each month. Registration is not required. Learn more at nols.org/book-groups, or call or visit the library for assistance.

Paperback copies of the titles will be available for pick up any time after the current month’s discussions at the Sequim Library’s temporary location, 609 W. Washington St., or Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., on a first-come, first-served basis. Copies in other formats such as large print, book on CD, and eBook may also be available to request through the NOLS catalog; see nols.org.

The August 2024 Book Discussion schedule includes:

Second Saturday Book Discussion Group — “Our Last Best Act” by Mallory McDuff, 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Sequim Library temporary location; paperback copies available at Sequim Library

Second Wednesday Book Discussion Group — “Fight Night” by Miriam Toews, 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, on Zoom; paperback copies available at Sequim and Port Angeles libraries

Fourth Wednesday Book Discussion Group — “Bee People” by Frank Mortimer, 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 6 p.m. in the Raymond Carver Room at the Port Angeles Library; paperback copies available at Port Angeles Library).

Book Discussion Groups are supported by a donation made in memory of Sally Albiso, the Friends of Sequim Library and the Port Angeles Friends of the Library.
