Local libraries to host book talks in April

The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) hosts three Book Discussion Group meetings each month. Registration is not required. Learn more at nols.org/book-groups, or call or visit the library for assistance.

Paperback copies of the titles will be available for pick up any time after the current month’s discussions at the Sequim Library’s temporary location, 609 W. Washington St., or Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., on a first-come, first-served basis. Copies in other formats such as large print, book on CD, and eBook may also be available to request through the NOLS catalog; see nols.org.

The April 2024 Book Discussion schedule includes:

• Second Wednesday Book Discussion Group — “If Beale Street Could Talk” by James Baldwin, 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, on Zoom; paperback copies available now at the Port Angeles Library and on Bookmobile; available April 1 at the Sequim Library temporary location

• Second Saturday Book Discussion Group — “Bee People and the Bugs They Love” by Frank Mortimer, 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Sequim Library temporary location; paperback copies available now on the Bookmobile and April 1 at Sequim Library temporary location

• Fourth Wednesday Book Discussion Group — “Convenience Store Woman” by Sayaka Murata, 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, in the Carver Room at Port Angeles Library; paperback copies available at Port Angeles Library

Book Discussion Groups are supported by a donation made in memory of Sally Albiso, the Friends of Sequim Library and the Port Angeles Friends of the Library.
