Miata Club keeps Christmas tradition with food bank

As part of their continuing Christmas tradition, Olympic Peninsula Chapter of Club Miata Northwest club drivers from Joyce, Port Angeles and Sequim took a short trip from their lunch at Mariner Café to the Sequim Food Bank on Dec. 8 to offer monetary and food donations.

In all, the group gave food donations and $600 — including $300 from the local chapter — to food bank executive director Andra Smith.

Club members say they started the tradition around December 2015.

The club’s lunch meetings alternate between Sequim and Port Angeles and dinners resume in May. Those interested in participating with the club can call Judy Burr-Chellin at 206-713-9738.
