Milestone: Annual race raises almost $2K for Volunteer Hospice

A total of $1,958 was raised at Sequim Bay Yacht Club’s “Reach & Row for Hospice” to benefit Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County (VHOCC) on Sept. 14.

Established in 1991 as the “Reach for Hospice” sailing race and later expanded to two race days to include a rowing/paddling event, Reach & Row for Hospice is the club’s year-long philanthropy and through the decades has raised more than $520,000 for VHOCC’s respite care fund, to provide support for the terminally ill and their families.
