The Washington Association of Conservation Districts recently presented Scott Chitwood, Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe Natural Resources Department director, with the Special Service Award during the association’s annual meeting in Blaine.
The Clallam Conservation District nominated him for the award, extolling his dedication to natural resource conservation on the North Olympic Peninsula and his ability to encourage stakeholders with countless conflicting interests to find common ground to protect and restore area environment and fish and wildlife habitat.
