Commissioner Brandon Mack and the Clallam County Dependency Court Improvement team are recipients of this year’s Innovating Justice Award for their collaborative work in developing the new ICWA and Infant-Toddler Dependency Courts.
The honor is a statewide award presented by the Board for Judicial Administration (BJA), chaired by Chief Justice Steve González and Judge Tam Bui, that “recognizes an individual or group for providing exceptional leadership in helping courts deliver innovative and responsive justice using a race equity lens.”
A special award presentation is set for 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in Courtroom 1 at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, and on Zoom.
