Milestone: Olympic Medical Center’s Johnson, Stamp earn leadership honors

Manager of Clinical Informatics Alberta Stamp, RN, and Manager of Information Services, Sean Johnson, received the OMC Leadership Award in May in recognition for their work on establishing Single Sign-On at the medical center.

Single Sign-On is a tool and resource that allows OMC caregivers to access all their programs needed to provide patient care with only one sign-on at a workstation. “This is an initiative that impacts our team members in a really positive way, as it eliminates the need for employees to sign on and enter passwords for individual programs multiple times per day,” says Darryl Wolfe, CEO. This makes a big impact over time on efficiency, which means just that much more time on caring for the patient.”

Wolfe recognized Stamp and Johnson for the leadership provided to their teams and the organization to bring Single Sign-On online throughout the organization, a daunting task. “As a medical provider we have to get this right, and the details that need to be addressed in such an effort are significant,” says Wolfe. “They led their teams to ensure all the systems communicate correctly, that excellent security is in place and everything is in compliance across the organization.”
