A new phone system at Olympic Medical Center’s (OMC) Call Center is up and running in large part to recent OMC Leadership Award recipient Nikki Brown.
Brown, Olympic Medical Physicians’ (OMP) call center supervisor, was awarded for going above and beyond for the project, with the benefits of her leadership felt across the organization , OMC representatives said.
Brown ensured her team was supported throughout the change process, taking time to thoroughly learn the system. This included working directly with the vendor and IT partners to navigate the complex vectors.
“Nikki Brown played a pivotal role in the architectural design and deployment of the new Cisco contact center,” telecommunications manager Craig Haught said.
“Her technical acumen and meticulous attention to system integration have been vital in enhancing our communication infrastructure’s efficiency and reliability. We commend Nikki for her technical excellence and unwavering commitment to the project’s success.”
In another nod to her leadership, Brown successfully supported her team through an unexpected early launch of the system, an event that solidified the decision to recognize her with the Leadership Award.
“Nikki was an absolute rock that day,” one of Brown’s direct reports noted. “She was steady and fast thinking on her feet when the situation became more chaotic as we arrived for work faced with a challenge we were not prepared for. She was able to meet each of us where we were in the moment and help us through a difficult day.”
Taylla Sales, Central Access and OMP project manager added, “I am so grateful to have Nikki as our Contact Center supervisor. I look forward to seeing what she’ll do with this new tool.”
