Olympic Medical Center announced in May that commissioners Phyllis Bernard and Philip Giuntoli earned Health Care Governance certification.
This accomplishment, OMC representatives said, signifies a “commitment to maintaining the highest standards of governance in healthcare organizations.” Commissioners Bernard and Giuntoli received the certification following their completion of more than 50 hours of educational sessions.
The sessions allow for a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of healthcare policy, administration and community health needs,OMC representatives said.
Commissioners Bernard and Giuntoli join commissioners Thom Hightower and Ann Henninger in holding the certification.
“We are immensely proud of Commissioners Bernard and Giuntoli for their dedication to advancing healthcare governance standards,” board president Hightower said.
“Their commitment to excellence aligns with our mission to provide exceptional healthcare services to our community.”
