Milestone: P.E.O. chapter members celebrate ‘Small, but Mighty’

Women from 11 local P.E.O. chapters (Sequim, Port Angeles and Port Townsend) gathered for their annual reciprocity luncheon on Oct. 21 at 7 Cedars Casino in Blyn.

This year’s theme was “Small, but Mighty – Making a Difference.” The luncheon speaker was Suzanne Ames, president of Peninsula College and Washington State Chapter president Rose Fowler also attended. Golden Sisters (50-plus) year members received special recognition and a lavender pin.

Members note that P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization where “women celebrate the advancement of women educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College, and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.”
