Milestone: Sequim’s Gray wins car on graduation night

Talk about timing. Fresh off her high school graduation on June 16, Sequim’s Alivia Gray was a double winner at the Sequim Graduation Night party. Gray won $125 in gas money, and then won something to put it into: a 2012 Fiat 500.

Gray was the recipient of Rocha Family Auto Sales’ annual car giveaway.

“I had a car with super problems,” Gray said last week.

“This was definitely needed, definitely a good time.”

Gray said she enjoyed the different vendors and games at the graduation party, an annual event held following the Sequim High School commencement ceremony to help celebrating students enjoy a safe and sober evening.

Gray said she’s planning to attend a community college in Edmonds, and that the car will be a big help with reliable transportation.
