Mel Marshall, operations manager for Welfare for Animals Guild, received the Sequim Association of Realtors (SAR) annual Citizen of the Year award at SAR’s annual awards banquet on Dec. 9.

Marshall was recognized for her work on spay/neuter efforts in Clallam County and her work with rescue animals at WAG.

“She has a true gift and WAG’s success has a lot to do with her leadership and love for rescuing dogs and placing them in their forever homes,” Realtors said in a press release.
