The Tidepools staff is seeking contest and noncontest submissions from amateur and professional artists, photographers, writers and musicians in Clallam and Jefferson counties.
All submissions must be postmarked by Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011. Contest-winning entries and other submissions will be selected by the staff. Winners will be announced by Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
Cash prizes will be awarded in all contest categories. Adults and Peninsula College students can receive $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place. Youths (ages 6-17) will receive $25 for first place in each age bracket.
Contest entry fees will be $5 per submission for adults and Peninsula College students and $2.50 for youths. Noncontest entries do not require a fee. They will be considered for publication, but will not be eligible for prizes.
