NOLS hosts storytime sessions in September

The North Olympic Library System is offering storytime this fall at the Sequim, Port Angeles and Forks branches.

Storytime features stories, music, rhymes, and plenty of movement and fun. Activities such as talking, reading, playing, and singing all play an important role in early childhood development, program organizers note.

The schedule includes:

• Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave.

Sept. 6-Oct. 30

6-6:30 p.m. Mondays, inside library

1:30-11 a.m. Tuesdays, in field behind library

• Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.; indoors inside Carver Room

Sept. 7-Dec. 16

1-1:30 p.m. Wednesdays — Preschool Storytime (Sing, talk, read, write and play together at this storytime for preschoolers and their grownups)

9:30-10 a.m. Fridays — Baby Storytime (babies and caregivers will play together, learning fun rhymes and songs along the way)

10:30-11 a.m. Fridays — Toddler Storytime (storytime full of movement, songs and stories)

• Forks Library, 171 S. Forks Ave.; indoors in children’s area

Sept. 3-Dec. 17

• 10:30-11 a.m., first Saturday of the month — Spanish/English Bilingual Family Storytime (listen to stories and sing songs in English and Spanish while learning some Spanish words and phrases)

• 10:30-11 a.m., every Saturday of the month except first — Family Storytime
