Organizers of the 19th-annual North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival arts exhibition are seeking art and artists for his year’s festival, dubbed “Sublime Marvel – Splendor, Enterprise, & Awe.”
Open to all fiber arts media and welcoming seasoned or newer creations, the exhibition is set for Oct. 4-Nov. 30 at Sequim Museum & Arts, 544 N. Sequim Ave. The museum is open 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.
The deadline for submittals is Sept. 15.

Enter a maximum of two art entries per artist; there is $15 entry fee per artist. All formats of fiber art will be considered, including wall-hung, free-standing or pedestal mounted. Entries must be original and must not be copied, derivatives or based on other copyrighted or published work. All skill levels are welcome.
Throughout the North Olympic Peninsula in September, October, and November, the festival offers numerous events including workshops, hands-on projects for children and adults, a fiber arts market of local artists’ work and fiber supplies, and information about local fiber activities, groups, businesses and instructional resources.
Most activities are free to the public.
The festival start includes the First Friday Art Walk Sequim reception from5-8 p.m. on Oct. 4, with fiber arts demonstrations and on Saturday, Oct. 5, with an exhibition opening reception 11 a.m.-1 p.m. That is followed by a First Friday Art Walk Sequim reception with fiber arts demonstrations from 5-8 p.m. on Nov. 1 and a closing celebration on Saturday, Nov. 30 to engage and support local fiber artists.
This festival “supports the enrapturing beauty and inspiring awe of inclusive, fostering fiber mediums that motivate earth-moving collaboration, and build super friendships to create opportunities to learn, exhibit, and potentially build small businesses,” Renne Emiko Brock, North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival director, said.
“Striving for wonder and encouragement, we celebrate fiber artists who boldly share their art with courage and fortitude, open to both copying and constructive criticism.”
