Theodore K. Graves

Sequim resident Theodore Keith Graves died Feb. 24, 2017, in Port Angeles at the age of 86.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at Faith Lutheran Church, 382 W. Cedar St., Sequim.

He was born Dec. 24, 1930 in Cherokee, Iowa.

Darlene (Dee) Lael Burton Hamilton

July 15, 1938 – January 23, 2017

Darlene (Dee) Lael Burton Hamilton, 78, passed from natural causes January 23, 2017.

Darlene was born in Sequim, Washington to Byron and Ellen (Echternkamp) Burton on July 15th, 1938.

As a homemaker Darlene enjoyed her family and doing crafts with friends, especially quilting with her church family for the Project Linus, and Stitches from the Heart, she also loved to travel and camp in their motorhome.

Darlene was a member of the VFW Auxiliary to Post 4760 in Sequim.

Darlene is survived by her sons; Steve (Cathy) Hamilton of Fountain, Colorado; Jeff (Kathi) Hamilton of Tacoma, Washington; Brian (Tatjana) Hamilton of Dubai, UAE, also her sisters, Betty Clothier of Arizona and Carol Adams of Sequim, Washington.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; Bryon and Ellen Burton, her husband; Roy (Rick) Hamilton, her son; Roy J. Hamilton Jr., grand daughter; Keri Beth Hamilton and grandson; Andrew Hamilton.

Arthur Richard Linden

August 10, 1914 – February 11, 2017

Arthur Richard Linden quietly passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 at home at the age of 102. He was the only child born to Swedish immigrants Charles H. Linden and Josephine C. Davidson in Seattle on August 10, 1914.

He graduated from the University of Washington in the Class of 1937 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He and Rosalie Rogers were married in September of that year.

His career as an engineer started at Grand Coulee and continued through hydroelectric projects at Alder, Rocky Reach, Rock Island, Mossyrock, Mayfield, Packwood, Finchaa in Ethiopia and other projects across the US. Art was a family man and his career made for many new experiences and fun for his family as they moved around the states.

Art and Rosalie moved to the Sequim area upon his retirement in 1985 where they developed many lasting friendships. He was active in the Grange Association wherever he was living, a 65 year member of the Masonic Lodge and member of the Eastern Star. His leadership was instrumental in the building of the new Trinity United Methodist Church in Sequim of which he was a longtime member.

Following the passing of his wife Rosalie he married Lucile Flaman in 1996.

Art was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and mother of his children, Rosalie Rogers Linden; and his second wife, Lucile Flaman Linden.

He is survived by his children, Carl (Paula) Linden of Simi Valley, CA; Richard (Sonya) Linden of Murietta, CA; David (Dianne) Linden of Snohomish, WA and Joanne Linden Johnson of Sequim. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Donations of remembrance may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church or Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County in Sequim.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 22, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave, Sequim, WA 98382.

Lucille Mildred Cassalery (Secord)

Lucille Mildred Cassalery (Secord) passed away February 15, 2017 at home in Sequim, WA.

She was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Liva and Neva (Craver) Secord and moved with her family to Washington when she was young. She remained on the Olympic Peninsula throughout her life.

Lucille married Stanley Norman Johnson and together they had 6 children. They divorced and she married Moe Cassalery, that marriage also ended in divorce.

Lucille was a born caregiver who was always there when someone was in need. She enjoyed visiting family, gardening, feeding the birds and commenting on the weather.

Surviving family include brothers Dennis (Gail) and David (Rosalee) Secord, daughters Susan (Jerry) Elings, Jeanette (Dan) Starks, Lisa (Doug) Linde, Cheryl (Don) Daniels, Rhonda (Richard) Bugge, and son Gary (Desiree) Johnson, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Irene Judd, Erlys Hansen and Beverly Goodrich.
