Olympic Theatre Arts, Sequim, has announced the opening of its next production, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” on Jan. 30.

This musical comedy is presented in the form of a series of vignettes connected by the central theme of love and relationships. The play’s tagline is “Everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit.”

There are only four cast members in the show but each one plays 17 different characters.

Director Pat Owens said of the multiple roles, “They fall in love more times in two hours than most people do in a lifetime!”

Leona Voss and Sheenieka Dolan play the female roles while James Willis and Joel Yelland the male roles.

Owens added, “Even though it sounds quite simple (only four actors and four musicians), this is the most complicated show I’ve ever directed in my 40-plus year career. I have been actively focused on this show since last March and have assembled an incredible team of artists and technicians behind the scenes who will make it all look simple.”

Musical director for the show is Valerie Lape, who will be joined on stage by pianist Steven Humphrey, violinist Leah Marsh and bassist Carl Honoré.

“I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” opens on Jan. 30 with a champagne reception following the performance.
