Olympic Theatre Arts is holding auditions for its July production, “Crimes of the Heart” by Beth Henley, at 6:30 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, April 29-30, at OTA, 414 N. Sequim Ave.
Needed are two men and four women.
This comedy/drama, winner of the 1981 Pulitzer Prize and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award, is a warm-hearted, irreverent, zany and brilliantly imaginative play which teems with humanity and humor as it examines the plight of three young Mississippi sisters betrayed by their passions.
OTA invites anyone interested in auditioning. Experience is not required. Some familiarity with the story is helpful since the audition process typically includes reading scenes from the play.
Copies of the play will be available to borrow at the OTA box office 683-7326; hours are 1-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Other volunteer help is welcomed for this production, including but not limited to stage managing, props, set building, and lights/sound.
The play runs Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons from July 5-21.
Contact director Roger Briggs at 681-3198 with additional questions.
