Come prepared to smile this weekend with Olympic Theatre Arts two staged readings of William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night (Or What You Will).”

The performances slated for 3 p.m., Saturday-Sunday, Jan. 9-10, are the third annual staged reading of the classic Shakespearian comedy that focuses on mistaken identities, crossed lovers and farcical pranks played out by an elaborately costumed cast and accompanying minstrels.

Rich Hendricksen, who directed the performance last year, has returned again as well as many of the cast members.

“This show has been so enthusiastically received we have expanded the seating in the hall and added an additional performance,” he said. “Each year our costuming and decorations have become more and more elaborate, and this year (especially), thanks to a generous donation from St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of their entire collection of props and costumes from the Boar’s Head Festival.”

The performance will take place in Olympic Theatre Art’s specially decorated Gathering Hall that will be transformed to an Elizabethan House of Revelry.

Patrons are encouraged to come in costume and be prepared to enjoy the performance played out around them.

Those attending also may enjoy light refreshments and seasonal drinks during the show.
