Port Angeles Community Players stir up great comedy with “The Foreigner,” running May 3-19 at the Community Playhouse, 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
The recipe for Larry Shue’s popular play includes equal parts sad, introverted British proofreader “Charlie” and jovial, outgoing Cockney Army demolition expert “Froggy.” Blend them in an out-of-the-way fishing lodge in Georgia with one delightful country woman, a backwoods minister, a moody Southern belle, her painfully shy brother and an intolerant member of the Invisible Nation.
Add a dash of rain, a bit of sauerkraut and a brick or two.
The cast includes actors from across the peninsula: Zack Moorman, Ean Henninger, Nikkole Adams and George Woods (Port Angeles); Curt White (Forks); and Jayna Orchard (Sequim).
Performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Tuesdays, with matinees at 2 p.m. Sundays.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children and students, and are available at Odyssey Bookshop, 114 W. Front St., or online at www.pacommunityplayers.com.
At Tuesday performances, any remaining seats will be $6 at the door.
