Oscar Wilde’s play, “Salome,” will come to vivid life on the stage of the Peninsula College Little Theater Nov. 14-16 and Nov. 21-22 when the Peninsula College Drama Department presents its latest production.

Theater times are 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 14-15 and Nov. 21-22. The Nov. 16 performance will be a 2 p.m. matinee, with a special “Talk Back” session with the performers and directors following the performance. Due to the nature of the themes, the play is for mature audiences only.

Co-directed by P.C. drama professor Dr. Lara Starcevich and Richard Stephens, “Salome” is an exploration into both the historical context of Biblical characters — King Herod, John the Baptist and Salome — as well as contemporary correspondences that tackle questions of faith as well as sexual politics.

Ticket prices are $12 for the general public, $10 for seniors and free to P.C. students. Tickets may be purchased online at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/906222 or at the door at the time of the performances.
