The Coalition for Hurricane Ridge Winter Access (CHRWA) is hosting a public panel discussion about Hurricane Ridge winter access at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, in the ballroom at the Red Lion Hotel, 221 N. Lincoln St., Port Angeles.

The panel will include coalition members who have been in communication with Olympic National Park personnel, members of the Clallam County business community, and representatives of local government.

The purpose of the panel is to inform the public with the most up-to-date information regarding winter access and how the public can be of assistance. There will be an invitation to sign a public letter to the Olympic National Park expressing support for winter access and encouraging progress towards that end.
