Peninsula College hosts Spring Arts Week

 

A weeklong adventure in the arts is celebrated May 31-June 6 on the Peninsula College campus, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles. The community is invited to join in the fun and help salute student achievement.

All events are free except for the Find Your Voice New Writers Festival. 

• Friday-Sunday, May 31-June 2: Find Your Voice New Writers Festival, 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday, Little Theater ($8 general, $5 seniors and non-P.C. students, free for P.C. students). Short plays by new local writers produced by student and seasoned actors, directors and theater technicians.

• Tuesday, June 4: Jazz concert conducted by Dr. David Jones, 7 p.m., Maier Performance Hall.

• Wednesday, June 5: Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., College Quad; Tidepools reading, 12:35 p.m., Maier Performance Hall.

• Thursday, June 6: Studium Generale, with scenes from "Find Your Voice" 12:35 p.m., Little Theater; Native Student Art Exhibit Reception, 3-4 p.m., P.C. Longhouse Art Gallery; Student Art Show reception/awards, 4-6 p.m., PUB Gallery of Art; The Peninsula Vocal Ensemble, 7 p.m., Maier Performance Hall.
