Peony Pack fundraiser set

The Sequim Botanical Garden Society’s Surprise Peony Pack Fundraising Effort is set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Sequim Farmers Market Holiday Fair at Carrie Blake Community Park’s Guy Cole Event Center, 202 N. Blake Ave.

Thanks to donations of peonies in 2017, the Terrace Garden has grown and the forthcoming rose garden is germinating. With a donation to the Sequim Botanical Garden Society, get a Surprise Peony Pack that contains a ready-to-plant peony tuber. Included is a mystery peony variety — hence the surprise moniker.

Donators also receive peony planting and care instructions, while supplies last.

Attendees can get more information and/or sign up for an annual membership to the Sequim Botanical Garden Society; dues are $25 per person, $50 per family, or $100 for corporations, partnerships, associations or other entities.

The Sequim Botanical Garden Society is a volunteer partner with the City of Sequim and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing educational information and a visual demonstration in home gardening with research-based horticultural practices near the band shell in Carrie Blake Community Park.
