Ellie Hales, 11, of Port Angeles, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, helps sort boxes of food that were donated to the Port Angeles Food Bank on July 19 by the Mormon Church’s food operations in Utah.

A total of 24 pallets of food and personal items weighing about 20 tons were to be divided up by local church members for later distribution to food banks in Sequim, Forks and Port Townsend, as well as Port Angeles.
