With their green 1949 Cadillac, Patt and Alan Richardson of Port Angeles won both Best Overall and Participants’ Choice at the Sequim Prairie Nights car show on Aug. 12. Mike Nannenhorn of Sequim Prairie Nights said that the quality of paint, the chrome and the modern motor were all possible reasons for the Participants Choice votes by the registrants of the 145 cars at the show. “We’re really honored,” Patt Richardson said. “When the people who know cars choose yours, that’s really special.” The event helps pay for scholarships for graduating Sequim and Port Angeles high school students pursuing continuing education in the automotive and construction trades.
