Port Angeles Community Players are going “Day by Day” until opening night of “Godspell.”
The modern-take on the Gospel according to Matthew features music, humor and masterful storytelling, which is based on John Michael Tebelak’s book with music by Stephen Schwartz.
The play goes live on Feb. 6, at the Community Playhouse, 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
Ron Graham directs Mark Lorentzen as Jesus and Josh McLean as Judas through parables of love and kindness leading up to the Last Supper and Crucifixion.
Denise McClain leads music direction with choreography by Naomi Alstrup. The supporting cast features Karen Breedlove, Mikey Cobb Jr., Shannon Cosgrove, Graham, Anne Lorentzen, Dani Lorentzen, Kathryn Lorentzen, Mark Lorentzen, Sharah Truett and Marissa Wilson.
Shows begin at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6-7, 10, 13-14, 17 and 20-21, and 2 p.m. Feb. 8, 15 and 22.
Tickets are available online at pacommunityplayers.com, Odyssey Bookshop in Port Angeles. They cost $12 for adults, $6 children/students while Tuesday’s reserved seating is $12 or festival seating is $6 at the door.
