Port Angeles Community Players announces auditions for its upcoming Holiday Show “This Christmas” from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 1, and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, with call-backs set for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday,S ept. 8
Auditions are at the Port Angeles Community Playhouse, 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.
The show, written by Anne Kennedy Brady and that debuted a few years ago at the Taproot Playhouse in Seattle, is a warm, family comedy about a young mother to be who tries to arrange (on Christmas Eve) a special manner of informing her husband about this happy event.
Directed by Jim Dries of Sequim, “This Christmas” has six characters. They are Leah Masters (30s); her husband Mark (30-ish); Helen Masters, Mark’s mother (60-ish); Patrick Chamberlain, Mark and Leah’s neighbor (60-ish); Elise, at waitress at a local diner (20-ish), and Serge, a cab driver, Bosnian (also 20-ish).
This is open casting with all roles available.
The show run from Nov. 23-Dec. 9; there will be a few cast meetings in September. The majority of rehearsals will be in a tight time frame beginning Oct. 30.
