Soprano Karen Pritchard plans to take Sequim to Broadway and Neverland at the latest Music Live with Lunch.
Pritchard performs at noon, Tuesday, March 21, in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave.
Accompanied by Lorraine Martin, a Juilliard-Trained pianist, the pair present four songs from the Leonard Bernstein musical “Peter Pan,” “Where Is Love” from “Oliver!,” a compilation of tunes such as “American Lullaby” by Gladys Rich, “O Can Ye Sew Cushions,” “A Scottish Lullaby” arranged by Barbara Poulschock, and many more.
For 25 years, Pritchard continues to entertain audiences across the Olympic Peninsula through music and drama including Olympic Theatre Arts shows “The Great American Musical,” “A Night on Broadway” and most recently the radio show “It’s A Wonderful Life.”
Some of her leading performances include “Pirates of Penzance,” “The Mikado” and John Majors’ “Gilbert and Sullivan’s a la Carte.” She’s also directed “Summer of Love” and “Tomfoolery.”
Pritchard says her musical training at the Indiana University School of Music prepared her for many concerts of chamber music. She regularly appears as a soloist for “Handel with Care” and is a member of the Peninsula Singers too.
Tickets for the show cost $12 and feature a traditional corned beef and cabbage luncheon, seasoned and brined in house by Peter Hagling. A vegetarian pasta alternative also is offered.
The church office opens 9 a.m.-noon Monday-Thursday, and can be reached at 683-4862.
Music live with Lunch started more than 25 years ago as a musical outreach by Lou and Bill Yandell with proceeds supporting local concerns. The half-an-hour shows take place the third Tuesday of each month through May.
