Buhler’s nine CDs and two books circulate worldwide, and his improvisation workshop is attended by many local musicians.
Lenke, also from Sequim and fairly new to the Olympic Peninsula, has been hitting it hard on the local and regional jazz scene ever since she arrived in 2019. She performs with with an intimate acoustic Trio, her all women Rose Quintet and with her Jean Therapy West Band. She will be bringing her full seven-piece Summer Jazz Band to the Purple Haze event, featuring Seattle saxophonist Tobi Stone.
Castro, manager and “Papa” of WEPA, combines elements of classic jazz, Latin, Brazilian and rock, adding the latin clave and spice to music ensembles throughout the Pacific Northwest.
