Quintet set for library’s ‘Art Blast’

The Robin Bessier Quintet will be performing a mix of Latin, swing and blues at 7 p.m. on Jan. 9 at the Port Angeles Library, as part of the library’s quarterly “Art Blast.”

The Robin Bessier Quintet will be performing a mix of Latin, swing and blues at 7 p.m. on Jan. 9 at the Port Angeles Library, as part of the library’s quarterly “Art Blast.”

Vocalist Robin Bessier will be joined by George Radebaugh on keyboard, Ted Enderle on bass, Tom Svornich on drums and Kurt Festinger on sax, clarinet and flute. Bessier, a Port Townsend resident, sings in a number of local bands, including Porto Alegre, Redshift and Sollati. Her CD, “Other Side of Forever,” landed on the Top 40 jazz charts after its release last year.

Art Blast events are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served and limited library services will be available during this special after-hours event.

The Port Angeles Library is at 2210 S. Peabody St.
