Barb Paschal, a retired rehabilitation physical therapist, will present “Head Bone Connected to the Foot Bone,” the next free WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum set for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, on KSQM 91.5 FM.
Paschal will talk about how valuable research shows that meaningful daily exercise can boost balance, brain power, memory and energy, and can predictably decrease depression and anxiety.
“No matter your age or pre-existing conditions, you can make a difference from ‘head to toe’ with what truly is the best medicine — exercise,” forum organizers note. “Every cell in our bodies needs increased oxygen and blood flow, and physical exercise is the key.”
WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic — Sequim’s free clinic. The clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. Work is supported by more than 70 volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond.
The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients on Monday and Thursday evenings beginning at 4:30 p.m. Individuals interested in supporting the clinic may call 360-582-0218.
