Kennedy Cameron, a student financial aid liaison with United Way of Clallam County, presents “Connecting Adults & Teens to funding for Career Training,” a free WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, on KSQM 91.5 FM.
The FAFSA/WASFA support program at United Way of Clallam County is funded by House Bill 1835 and is implemented in partnership with Peninsula College. The program supports both adults and graduating high school seniors in obtaining funding for career training, and it includes individual help filling out paperwork like the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Cameron was born and raised in Port Angeles and attended the University of Washington after graduating from Port Angeles High. After college, they returned to Port Angeles as an environmental educator, and now helps others find funding for career training and college.
Cameron was awarded Young Leader of the Year at the Port Angeles Community Awards in 2024.
WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic — Sequim’s free clinic that provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. The work is supported by more than 70 volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond.
The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients on Mondays and Thursdays beginning at 4:30 p.m. Individuals interested in supporting the clinic are encouraged to call 360-582-0218.
