The Peninsula College Recorder Ensemble performs at noon Tuesday, March 15, for St. Luke’s Episcopal Church’s Music Live with Lunch concert series at the church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim. They will perform music by Monteverdi, William Byrd, Praetorius and other early music composers.
The recorders in the ensemble range from a sopranino to a bass recorder, and the group includes viola da gamba players and a guitarist.

Founded by Dennis Crabb, recorder specialist and head of the Peninsula College music department, the ensemble has played together for 25 years, with members from across the peninsula meeting weekly.
Crabb holds a doctorate of musical arts and has studied recorder, baroque flute and choral music in Austria and specialized in recorder studies in Germany. He also was guest recorder soloist with the Port Townsend Orchestra. He has performed Music Live with Lunch as a soloist.
Music Live with Lunch is a concert series held on the third Tuesday of each month through May. Concerts start at noon with lunch served at 12:30 p.m. in the parish hall.
A portion of all funds collected goes to Sequim area charities.
