The Dungeness River Audubon Center, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road, Sequim, will have several educational events in the next month.
The presentations are the following:
• Nest Box Building Class
10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the center; $15 per person; $12.50 per person for two or more.
Learn how to build a box and then build a box! You will be able to take your new box home to install in your yard. Materials, tools and expert assistance provided.
• Owls, Masters of the Night
10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at the center; $10 per person.
River Center director Powell Jones leads this special presentation focused on owls. This is a family friendly class, designed for beginners and enthusiasts who wish to learn more about these amazing creatures of the night. Presentation covers basic owl identification, sounds, adaptations, hunting techniques, stories and much more.
• Explorers Club: Hurricane Ridge Trip
10 a.m. Friday, March 10, at the Olympic National Park Visitor Center, 3002 Mount Angeles Road, Port Angeles; $20 covers park entrance but not snowshoe rental.
The next Explorers Club outing is a trip up to the iconic Hurricane Ridge for a snowshoe hike. Learn about the Olympic Mountains, how they formed and how they continue to be shaped. All experience levels are welcome.
