The Dungeness River Nature Center hosts a countdown to turn on thousands of lights at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16.
A singalong of holiday songs on the center’s historic Railroad Bridge will be led by members of the Sequim High school choir.
The following weekend, the center hosts its annual Holiday Nature Mart Saturday, Nov. 18, and Sunday, Nov. 19, at the River Center, 1943 W. Hendricksen Road.
From 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, attendees can shop for handcrafted gifts, ornaments, knits, textiles, and baked goods in the center’s Rainshadow Hall, with wreathmaking on the center’s plaza.
Hurricane Coffee at the River, in the center’s atrium and accessible from the plaza, will be open for all events with seasonal hot drinks.
All proceeds benefit the River Center’s operations and educational programs.
Holiday lights will be on from 3-9 p.m. each day through early January.
