Sequim artists highlighted in 40th Juried Art Show, ‘Convergence’

The Olympic Peninsula Art Association, formerly Sequim Arts, brings its 40th annual Juried Art Show “Convergence” to the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles, through June.

More than 173 entries were received for the show with 41 chosen by juror Mike McCollum.

Several artists from Sequim were selected including Janie Brackney, Kathey Ervin, Mary Franchini, Katherine Loveland, Susan Gansert Shaw, David Tinsley, Sally Cays, Linda Collins Chapman, Christina Heliker, Karen Rozbicki Stringer, Pamela Dick, Karin Anderson, Ron E. Reynolds and Janet Beers in a range of mediums.

A free opening night reception and awards presentation runs from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 27. The exhibition is open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. May 28-June 26, Thursdays-Sundays.

McCollum has worked in many mediums — bronze, ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, and wood.
