Sequim Arts present its 2015 Juried Show and Sale from May 1-30.

The show is hosted in the Museum & Arts Exhibit Center, 175 W. Cedar St., Sequim, and is an official event of the 2015 Sequim Irrigation Festival.

The 54 pieces in this year’s show include watercolor, mixed media, oil, acrylic, collage, fiber, metal, photography, and more from artists as far away as Wisconsin, Texas, Florida, California, and of course, Washington, with a strong showing of local artists accepted.

All artwork entered is original, created within the past two years and will be for sale. Sequim Arts representatives will present awards at the artist reception from 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 1; $1,500 in cash awards will be presented.

Each year, Sequim Arts sponsors a students’ exhibit, offers financial assistance to local area schools for art programs and hosts a members’ exhibit. Sequim Arts sponsors and operates the Clallam County Fair Art Barn and helps to place artwork from local artists in businesses and public places. It also awards scholarships each year to graduating seniors who are interested in pursuing art as a career.
