Sequim Arts opens Showcase

Sequim Arts, a local nonprofit artists’ group, will open a Summer Showcase exhibit and sale from July 3-Sept.30 at 163 W. Washington St. in space provided by the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce and Brown Maloney.

Funds raised through the Summer Showcase will provide supplies for area school arts programs, support scholarships and assist other Sequim Arts projects.

The exhibit provides a gallery setting for the work of artists who have never shown and for seasoned artists who need a place to present their work. There is no cost to enter work. A 25-percent commission will be charged on any items sold through the gallery and artists who show will be asked to volunteer the equivalent of one full day of time to work in the gallery.

Space is limited to the first 25 artists who apply for each month. Find guidelines and entry applications at www.sequimarts.org or call Linda Stadtmiller at 681-4884.
