Now in its 32nd season, the Sequim City Band kicks off this year’s “Concerts at the James” performances on Sunday, May 7, as part of the first weekend of the 138th-annual Sequim Irrigation Festival — with four more concerts running through early September.
Each outdoor concert is free and set at the James Center for the Performing Arts, just north of Carrie Blake Community Park.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket, snacks and an umbrella (if needed). Concerts include on-site parking.
Concerts are set for: Sunday, May 7; Sunday, June 11; Tuesday, July 4; Sunday, Aug. 13, and Saturday, Sept. 9.
Representatives say the band’s expanded rehearsal hall is nearly ready for the band to return to its home base of Swisher Hall. They projected the band will have its last few rehearsals in preparation for the first summer concert in the expanded space.
