Sequim FFA takes aim in Wenatchee

Sequim High saw 11 students competing at the Washington state 2024 FFA trap shoot competition in Wenatchee in April.

SHS’s team 1 tallied 294 points, with Weston Opdyke the top scorer with 81 points, followed by Austin Parker (79), Cole Tate (71), Levi Breithaupt (63) and Susannah Sharpe (60).

Sequim’s team 2 was close behind with 279 points, led by Elizabeth Beebe’s 79, followed by Elizabeth Howard (77), Lilly Bond (63), Aurora Cline (60) and Lily Meyer (52).

Zak Bell shot solo and scored 51 points.

Each shooter shot twice at the 16-yard range and twice at the 22-yard range.

The state shoot saw 47 teams and 232 shooters overall representing 24 chapters across Washington.
