Sequimarimba will be wowing us with its tremendous upbeat rhythms. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this lively, uplifting group of six to eight marimba players on various sizes of marimbas, playing African rhythms. It is a great opportunity for the youngsters to see a fun and accessible instrument. They play from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the market square and will get you moving to the beat.

The Happy Tymer clowns also will be at the market from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. along with Sequimarimba. They will be giving away lots of balloon animals and free smiles to all.

Also new at the market is Cluck, Scratch and Waddle Farm, an egg farm run by Linda Johnston.

We are pleased to have a lot of farm fresh local eggs at the market this year. When you think fresh eggs, think of Saturdays at the market. Nash’s Organic Produce also is bringing lots of eggs this year! Hooray!

One of our favorite vendors, formerly known as Galloping Goats Farm, has rearranged and expanded her business with some fun new products. The mother-daughter team of Shannon Wiggins and Andrea Gosling have partnered up to start a new business, Slightly Askew. They are selling bath & body products that include locally brewed beers in them, plus handmade journals. The journals are beautifully bound with quality papers and clever craftsmanship. Take a moment to learn about soap making and bookbinding, while picking up a gift for a friend.

The North Olympic Fuchsia Society will host the Suzanne Arnold Community Booth this week. Come learn about fuchsias from the experts.

The Wednesday market will start on June 22. After speaking with the farmers, we decided to push back the opening day until they would be bringing in the first of the harvest.
