What?s new at the market this week?

The Wednesday market is open from noon-6 p.m., at the intersection of Sequim Avenue and Washington Street.

New at the market is the spring harvest that keeps coming, the strawberries and spinach make a fabulous omelette. Put the sliced strawberries and chopped spinach in the middle with a little feta cheese and let it warm, wilt and melt on the skillet. Toast up the seedy sourdough bread by Pane d?Amore and yum, yum, yum. This recipe also works splendidly with arugula, you will be amazed how the sweet and spicy combination pops on your taste buds.

The Cedar Box is not a new vendor, but if you have new garden space that warrants a lovely climbing bean or vine, Tim Wafstet is happy to deliver. He has a variety of trellises and is happy to do custom orders. He can come to your home and take measurements to make it work just as you envision it. Also for your garden he makes beautiful cedar benches. The Happy Tymer Clowns will be visiting us this weekend and handing out balloons to ?real? kids and those kids at heart. They spin some crafty balloon animals.

Take in the music of Cort and Kia Armstrong from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. We are very fortunate to have this talent and creativity right here in ?Sequim. 

Although the two play together in most of Cort?s bands, most performances feature the duo. Kia?s strong rhythmic sensibilities on the stand-up bass combine with Cort?s dense and intricate guitar sound to create a very full and swinging sound. And Kia now is backing up Cort?s singing with her excellent harmony vocals. Rumor has it that she is going to do featured singing soon!
