GREYWOLF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

On April 22, Sequim Middle School counselors visit with fifth-graders at Greywolf Elementary, with enrollment packets going home to parents. Families are asked to return the packets by April 27.

HELEN HALLER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

In Kieth Lee’s STEM class, kindergarten and first-grade students built LEGO systems that incorporated magnets to levitate a paperclip.

Helen Haller students get to enter a drawing in the library each week to win the Reader Spotlight. Winners choose a free book and get their picture and a write up about themselves featured in the library for the week. The winners are also featured on Haller’s website.

Orders for Helen Haller Yearbooks are due by Friday, April 29.

Helen Haller’s Parent-Teacher Organization Earth Day Fun Run is Friday, April 22. The PTO’s shred event is set for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 23, in the Sequim Village Center parking lot, 651 W. Washington St.

SEQUIM HIGH SCHOOL

The SHS Plant Sale is coming! Support the Sequim High’s Career Technical Education department with purchases at the sale set for 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m., May 1-7. The school’s agriculture science department will have arrangements ranging from hanging baskets, flower starts to veggie planters available at the SHS greenhouse, 601 N. Cheer tryouts are 3-6:30 p.m. April 25-28, in the small gym. Students need white and pink cards to try out. See Mrs. Lancheros for more information.

Sequim High School’s Annual Art Show is from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 6, in the small annex gymnasium. All SHS students are welcome to enter artwork. Contact Mrs. Maxwell or Ms. Hall for entry forms and have artwork to them by Monday, May 2.

Senior Ball is Saturday, May 7.
