Soroptimists present ‘Live Your Dream’ awards

Soroptimist International of Sequim has awarded three “Live Your Dream” educational grants.

The grants, a key initiative for the organization, are for women who are the primary financial supporters of their families.

Julia Hendricks received $4,000 to pursue professional certification training from the International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.

Jamie Williams and Jordon Calvery were each awarded $1,000. Williams is seeking to become certified in Early Childhood Education through Peninsula College. Calvery is currently enrolled in the nursing program at Peninsula College, with plans to graduate in June 2026.
