‘Stars of Tomorrow’ play for Children’s

Proceeds from show on May 30 to benefit young patients at Seattle hospital

The peninsula’s musical “Stars of Tomorrow” are coming together for a benefit concert this weekend to help children in need.

Eight musicians play the Sequim Guild of Clallam County’s “Stars of Tomorrow” benefit concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at Sequim Community Church, 950 N. Fifth Ave.

Tickets are $10 each with proceeds benefiting the Seattle Children’s Hospital Uncompensated Care Fund.

The concert features Kate and Ethan Powers on violin and guitar, Lum Fu on piano, Josh Gershon and Tizrah Small on flute and the Lamar String Trio of Paige Lamar on viola, Logan Lamar on cello and Claire Lamar on violin.

Musician Craig Buhler, known for his albums and directing the Star Dust Big Band, emcees the event.

Tickets are available at Port Book & News in Port Angeles and Joyful Noise Music Center in Sequim.

The Sequim Guild currently has about 100 members to donate time and resources to support Seattle Children’s Hospital’s uncompensated care fund.

Seattle Children’s Hospital provided care to 965 Clallam County children who used more than $1.7 million in uncompensated care.
